This sculpture “Octopus” is crocheted with a thread made out of an old fishing net. The old net was first cut up and then processed to use as crocheting material. The work depicts a life sized octopus from the Mediterranean Sea. “Octopus” is the first sculpture made in collaboration with the NGO Enaleia in Greece, dedicated to rescue wild life and ecosystems by cleaning oceans from plastic waste and discarded fishing gear.
