This sculpture “Octopus” is crocheted with a thread made out of an old fishing net. The old net was first cut up and then processed to use as crocheting material. The work depicts a life sized octopus from the Mediterranean Sea. “Octopus” is the first sculpture made in collaboration with NGO’s that are dedicated to clean oceans from plastic waste and discarded fishing gear to rescue wild life and ecosystems.
