Artist statement

Three aspects form the structure of my work.

INSPIRATION; Comes from nature and what happens in it.
I am outside daily and I observe my surounding. Through my work I want to tell what I see.
TEXTILE; A daily good in peoples lives and historically connected with us.
I learned crocheting as a child and I chose it to be my way of expression. The technique allows me to grow sculptures organically.
MATERIAL; In the western society is an oversupply of raw materials.
Therefor I choose my materials consciously. I recycle fibers and use materials from another contexts or rely on renewable sources.

Each piece is build on these elements. By combining them I want to show what I noticed and I want to tell the stories I witnessed.
